Earl Barnaal’s passion for breakthrough genetics and technology in soybeans began at an early age. Growing up on a 400 acre farm in Southwestern Minnesota, he understood that problematic weeds required strong hands, and soybean diseases like Iron Chlorosis Deficiency (IDC) were challenging! A graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Business Management, Earl spent seven years as an agronomist researching and providing recommendations to corn and soybean producers in Minnesota. Earl’s next eight years were spent in sales and marketing along with commercial development in the seed industry where his main focus was on oilseed crops. In the summer of 2002, Earl joined Peterson Genetics, Inc. to evaluate and license elite soybean genetics and traits! When you can’t find Earl looking at soybeans, your best bet is to check a local high school sports field, area lake or a scuba diving destination!
